Quantum cloud computing makes advanced quantum capabilities available without requiring users to build or maintain their own hardware. However, the widespread adoption of this transformative technology is still constrained by unresolved issues of data protection and security, which currently limit its true impact. Our research makes possible access to cutting-edge quantum machines directly through the cloud.
The HSM-QCC project represents a pioneering initiative at the intersection of advanced hardware security and cutting-edge quantum technology. Its primary objective is the development of an autonomous, trusted execution module designed to ensure secure delegated quantum cloud computing. This innovative approach is expected to significantly strengthen privacy, security, and operational efficiency within the emerging quantum computing ecosystem.
By integrating the proven reliability of hardware security modules (HSMs) with the transformative capabilities of quantum computing, the project seeks to establish a secure and trustworthy quantum cloud infrastructure. The HSM-QCC consortium brings together leading European universities and industrial partners, united in their effort to advance the frontiers of both quantum technology and cybersecurity.
